Frequently asked questions
The Wedge
From what age can my baby use the Wedge?
The Wedge must not be used with children under 6 months of age as these children need to be in a lie-flat position. The Wedge must not be used if baby cannot sit upright unaided.
What prams is the Wedge compatible with?
Compatible with all prams.
Only may not be suitable when other accessories are used, for example, the Mini Easy Walker fitted with the steering wheel.
If you have a question about your pram, please email us (support@eyaslondon.com).
How do I fold up my pram with the Wedge still in?
The Wedge can be removed with one hand. The Wedge is then placed on top of the folded pram. Alternatively, the pram can also be folded with the Wedge still in position.
I have my pram seatbelt on the lowest setting – which setting of the Wedge should I use?
Use the lowest of the two horizontal slits.
Is the Wedge safe for my baby?
Comprehensive safety testing of the Wedge has been undertaken and verified by Bureau Veritas. As recommended under British Standards by the Lullaby Trust, never use any baby support pillow as a sleep device. The Wedge is to be used under adult supervision only.
Detailed safety instructions below must be read before using the Wedge:
Angle between the seat and the upright backrest (of a pushchair seat) shall not be less than 95° when the Wedge is in situ.
The Wedge must not be used if it does not provide full head support to the child i.e. if the child is taller than the cushion and if it does not extend to the top of the backrest on the pushchair.
If the Wedge cover has been removed from the foam, when re-covering it, the zip must be slid into the fabric tunnel.
The Wedge should not be placed under any heavy objects. When folding the pushchair, the Wedge should be carefully placed on top of the folded pushchair.
Only replacement parts supplied by the manufacturer must be used. Please contact Z. Perkins (75 Torbay Road, NW6 7DU, London) at support@eyaslondon.com for any replacement parts.
How do I clean the Wedge?
Removable cover is machine washable on wool setting or equivalent at 30°. Alternatively, you can wipe it down with a water wipe or anti-bacterial wipe. Inner foam not to be washed.
How do I set up the Wedge?
The Wedge must be fitted forward facing in the pushchair so that the zip and label are against the backrest of the pushchair. The top harness straps are to be placed through the horizontal slits and the bottom harness straps placed through the vertical slits (see image 1.0). The top harness straps can be placed through the top or bottom of the horizontal straps, depending on the size of baby.
The harness is to be used as normal and must be securely fastened when using the pushchair. The Wedge must not be used if it prevents the safety harness from being correctly fastened.
